The Meinl Sonic Energy Gong Resonant Mallets are designed to create therapeutic and atmospheric gong sounds, similar to whale singing. Due to the specially treated rubber balls, higher and lower tones can be achieved from what is normally heard. Use the smaller diameter mallets to produce higher tones, and the larger diameter mallets to produce lower tones.

The larger the area of the gong, the more diverse the possibilities. Also, the required pressure strength increases with a larger Resonant Mallet head. With larger gongs, we recommend having all sizes at hand, which then provide a very broad spectrum of sounds.
