Dragonfly VS – Soft Rattan Vibraphone Mallets
Dragonfly has re-categorized our M3 marimba mallet as a soft vibe stick. This is the exact same stick as the regular M3 with green thread that was part of our marimba lineup, but is now wrapped with red cloth and is on a 15” rattan handle. 16” length birch and rattan handles are still available on request. The M3 does not blend as well with the other marimba models, but rounds out the vibe lineup nicely, which is why we decided to change where we categorize it. This stick produces a big, round, mellow sound on vibes. Great for passages that require lots of blend and minimal articulation. On marimba, this stick is perfect as a soft orchestral stick or for 2-mallet solos. Clear, rubbery sound with a well defined attack, but a soft enough core to sound full and round in the lowest octaves.
